TRAINER SPOTLIGHT - KAYLA ITSINES

Welcome to our trainer spotlight! Think of this as a place to celebrate those changing the game of fitness, trainers with infectious passion, the ones that keep us motivated and on track. This is where we'll celebrate those who push us to sweat. 

We’re starting with the uber-talented Kayla Itsines. We met Kayla when we first started PROPS, and we gotta say, what you see is what you get with her. She’s genuine, kind, passionate about health and fitness and truly wants you to succeed. She’s built a community of over 30 million fitness loving women dedicated to themselves and her programs. 

SO, let’s get into it! 

WHO IS KAYLA ITSINES 

Kayla Itsines is an Australian personal trainer, author, and entrepreneur AKA one of the most influential trainers in the world! She’s the co-creator of Bikini Body Guides, or BBG as it is known by over 30 million women around the world. Fueled by a lifelong passion for health and fitness, Kayla is on a personal mission to “help as many women as possible to achieve their ideal level of fitness and to feel more confident and happy.” One could say she’s obsessed with helping her clients achieve their goals (in the best way possible). If you’re looking for a trainer that’s genuine, authentic, passionate, and results-driven - keep reading. 

SO, WHAT IS BBG?

In a nutshell,BBG is a wildly successful series of training programs created for women and suitable for every fitness level. At 28 minutes long the workouts are designed to increase your strength, fitness, build confidence, and totally transform your bod! Typically the programs are 12 weeks long and have a focus - think epic training guide. 

In addition to being a program that actually works, BBG workouts come with an incredibly supportive and encouraging community. Check the hashtag #bbg or #bbgcommunity for proof on the power and size of this group. Not one for IG?there are also BBG Facebook Groups for nearly 100 cities available for members to chat all things fitness and accountability. 

THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU START YOUR BBG WORKOUT

  • Delivery. You have options in how you experience BBG. You could go with the OG e-book or access the plans via the Sweat app for those looking for more interaction. Pick the method that works for you! 
  • Equipment. You also have options when it comes to equipment. Don’t have access to a gym? Not a problem, the most recent BBG program requires  ZERO EQUIPMENT  and can be done from literally anywhere. So, no excuse! 
  • Introduction. Even if you’ve been working out for years, don’t skip the intro or “beginner weeks”! Not only will these intro weeks help you build your fitness in a healthy way, but they’ll also get you comfortable with the BBG program. 
  • Accountability. Sticking with any program is easier when you have a community of people experiencing it with you. Listen, we weren't joking when we said the BBG community is powerful. Introduce yourself, help each other 

ZERO EQUIPMENT EXPRESS WORKOUT 

Since Kayla is a huge advocate for working out anywhere, anytime, it’s only appropriate that the latest BBG program is a ZERO EQUIPMENT workout. The program features 6 different workouts each week plus a few express workouts for those “I don’t have time” moments.
