      Props Athletics was born out of the desire to empower people to be active – to sweat! When Lauren Siegal, the founder of Props Athletics, couldn’t find a product in the marketplace that suited her needs, she took her love of design and her passion for fitness to the drawing board and created the ultimate workout glove, one that would provide a more tactile and functional option for men and women interested in protection, support and getting the most out of every workout.

      Founder's note

      Props to all of you!

      As a  fitness fanatic starting PROPS has been one of the most rewarding and challenging things I have ever done. 

      When someone tells me my products help motivate them to be more active and work out better and harder - I’m inspired.

      My passion is to change the stigma associated with sweat - and I’m doing that one glove at a time!

       We are grateful to see PROPS on the hands of people of celebrity trainers, Madonna, Shakira, Kayla Itsines and Kelsey Wells   PROPS was embraced early on by the iconic Barrys Bootcamp and Equinox  too. 

      We have been featured in numerous press outlets, competed in entrepreneurs competitions and even won a deal on the Canadian TV show "Dragon's Den."

      Props to everyone along the way who helped make PROPS what it is today!

      Originally designed as a glove for ALL of today's workouts (studio classes, interval training, yoga and watersports, etc) and now a staple for people who suffer from illnesses such as hyperhidrosis, excessive hand sweat, and arthritis, are some of our biggest fans. 

      My background as a lawyer and interior designer, coupled with my passion for working out led me to a life of entrepreneurship. After spending time in California, I returned home to Toronto with an even stronger outdoor and active mindset.  I envisioned creating products that would encourage and empower people to get out and sweat. And thus, PROPS was born! Long hours, doubt, feeling constantly overwhelmed - life as a female self-funded entrepreneur hasn’t been easy, but it’s an incredible experience.

      PROPS Athletics is a brand that caters to, and fills a void in the fitness market by focusing on fitness, fashion and function.
